RIVERSIDE, CA – Riverside County Supervisor John Tavaglione, Chairman of the Board of Supervisors, has endorsed Police Chief Dave Brown for Riverside County Sheriff.

"Today, I am proud to announce my support for Dave Brown for Riverside County Sheriff," said Tavaglione. "First and foremost, I know Chief Brown will not only be a forceful and effective advocate for the Sheriff's Department, but he'll also be willing to work collaboratively with elected officials, community stakeholders, and other agencies in order to keep our communities safe.

"Chief Brown has built an impressive leadership record in his own department. In order to improve operations, he has utilized civilian employees for non-emergency calls, implemented data-driven deployment strategies, and incorporated online and telephone reporting to improve response times. Chief Brown has been successful in implementing the very reforms our current Sheriff has been resisting for years."

"Simply put, Dave Brown is the proven law enforcement professional we all need to get behind to lead the Riverside County Sheriffs Department into the 21st Century.  I am proud to endorse him," Tavaglione concluded.

"I am honored to have the endorsement of Supervisor Tavaglione," said Brown. "If elected Sheriff, I look forward to working with public safety stakeholders throughout the region in a way that advances the public good -- not my political ambitions. I'm proud of the changes we've incorporated in Hemet, and I am excited to bring a similar leadership approach to the Sheriff's Department."

In addition to the endorsement of Supervisor John Tavaglione, Brown also recently announced the endorsement of Supervisor Chuck Washington. Brown has also received endorsements from Mayor Linda Krupa, Mayor Pro-Tem Michael Perciful, Councilmember Bonnie Wright, Councilmember Karlee Meyer, and Councilmember Russ Brown.
